We aim to assist the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge in:

  • Supporting acquisition funding.

  • Assisting in the pursuit of acquisitions.

  • Increasing public awareness of needs and benefits of the refuge.

  • Providing refuge division monitoring.

  • Commenting on activities which affect the refuge.

  • Identifying other similar areas which warrant refuge type protection.

  • Assisting with refuge projects as they arise.

  • Identifying means and location(s) for an educational/visitor's center.

  • Supporting refuge operations through fund raising, including, but not limited to, grants, fundraising events, and partnership.

  • Engaging in stewardship activities, education and outreach program.

  • Advocating for education about environmental concerns, needs of wildlife and conservation practices and refuge system government funding at a national level.
