We assist the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge by:
Supporting land acquisition funding and assisting in the pursuit of acquisitions.
Increasing public awareness of Refuge benefits and needs.
Providing Refuge division monitoring.
Commenting on activities which affect the Refuge.
Managing the Friends Nature Store.
Assisting with operations of the Refuge’s Visitor Center.
Supporting the Refuge mission through fundraising, memberships, grants, events, and partnerships.
Managing an annual internship program for young scientists, conservationists, and responsible tourism managers.

Engaging in stewardship activities, education, and outreach programs.
Advocating for education about environmental concerns, conservation practices, and National Wildlife Refuge System government funding at the national level.
