Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge is hosting a Rabbitat Planting Party on Saturday, September 26th to celebrate National Public Lands Day. This year’s event will include planting native shrubs and managing invasive plants to restore shrubland habitat in Kennebunk, Maine. Activities will include digging holes, planting shrubs, using loppers, and chatting about local wildlife and conservation.
The event will be held at the new headquarters for Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge at 188 Brown Street in Kennebunk. Check out the new exhibit hall and Friends Nature Store when taking a break from restoring habitat for wildlife!
